Database
The core of the research project is the creation of a rich database on Viennese and Central European art collections from the 17th to the 20th century. The project's task is not only to comprehensively document collection and auction materials and make them searchable online, but also to develop new research questions. The systematic evaluation of large amounts of data derived from inventories and sales catalogs on areas ranging from collecting tastes to price fluctuations contributes to a greater broadening of the scope of art historical research.
